Class at Empty Spools

Two weeks ago I took my first class at Asilomar with Empy Spools Seminars. What a great week. I made a new friend with my roommate Tanya from Fresno. My table mate in class was a delightful lady named Elaine from the UK. My class was with Sue Benner, I have wanted to take a class with Sue for several years. I was on a waiting list and got in the class. I learned alot about perspective in landscape quilts. I will post a photo of the first days little quilts and a picture or two of Asilomar. The picture on the left are the first 2 small quilts they are on the left, the photos for inspiration are on the right.

Class with Elsie Campbell

I have spent the last 2 days in a class with Elsie Campbell, We learned alot of presicion sewing techniques. What a great class, if you get a chance to take a class with Elsie don't hesitate. I will post a picture of my project in process. When finished this will be a 24 x 24 wallhanging. It will be a star surrounded by embroidered flowers, with a mitered border. I will post more later.
